New appointment system is a nightmare. Work in a school and very difficult to wait around for a call back from the doctor this is the most unhelpful system for working people ever.
When I registered with the surgery last year I was told I could renew my prescriptions online and was given the information about how to do this and the necessary password. Every time I have tried to do this there seems to be a problem as the necessary links to prescriptions seem to have moved or are not there. I tried again today to renew my prescriptions to save time and save me taking the slip down to the surgery and then having to return to collect the prescriptions. I have done everything I can think of to find a link to prescriptions renewal but as far as I can see it is not there. I telephoned Reception who cannot get onto the site and have no idea how it works or what it looks like so are absolutely no help at all. They say they will refer this problem to the IT person but do not know if they will contact me to let me know how the system works or if this service works. This is not good enough in this technical age and when a patient is trying to be pro-active in helping themselves and speeding the process up. My last surgery was more forward-thinking in outlook.
I was able to see a doctor same day on the new appointment system but:
a) No where in your website or online practice booklet does it tell me when my doctor's normal working hours are so that I know the best day to phone.
b) The online practice leaflet is out of date. It does not show the correct new appointment procedure.
c) The email links on your website are not working.
Nurse Pam Galbraith cleared my very blocked ears of wax very professionally and talked through every step of the process.
Very empathetic, helpful and friendly. Thank you Pam.
Everything.
Nothing that l can see.
